Arizona native, lifelong interest in health & fitness.  Trained at several “big-box” gyms before learning about CrossFit.  I used to workout six days a week for at least an hour – You know the drill:  Back & Bi, Chest & Tri, Legs, and throw in some cardio to get “ripped”.  I also thought I was at my ideal bodyweight since I was following the USDA Food Guide Pyramid.  It was like a slap in the face when I heard about CrossFit – I remember thinking:  “There’s no way you can get in shape with only a 10 minute workout!”  Well, I’m glad I parked my pride.  As soon as I started following the Zone Diet, I dropped 15 pounds of fat in 2 months.  Today, I may only spend 30-45 minutes a week of actual “working out” due to the high-intensity, short-duration nature of CrossFit WODs.   Since starting CrossFit, I increased my 1RM Deadlift from 385 (at 205#BW) to 405 (at 185#BW).  Did I mention I accomplished this while following the CrossFit Endurance regimen as I trained for the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon?  Yep, I set a PR on my 5k run the day after my Deadlift PR!  That’s why I CrossFit. The energy of a WOD in action at a CrossFit box is electrifying, the trainers are both friends and coaches (not working on commission), and the results are on the board every day!  If you’re tired of training at “Zombie Town Fitness” or “Globo Gym” – Stop by for a real workout with real results. CrossFit is the Sport of Fitness.
